Source of 68030 with MMU?

That is odd. Would these be double-remarked chips, or just 50MHz parts that, for whatever reason, failed tests and were sold as 25Mhz parts?

Noticed the listing had vanished from my ebay account and replaced with a message from ebay saying the removed the listing from the site. I guess too many people reported them as "fake".

I think at some point they just consolidated manufacturing of all 030 chips to 0.8um, yet still sold them at different price points. Could also be due to testing - its a gamble.

I can understand someone reporting the listing I guess - I would prefer they were just honest and sold them as originally stamped as 25Mhz chips, that use the 50Mhz die (with no guarantees on performance). Then people know what they are getting. It's a shame, I would have liked to have ordered some more (even knowing what they are). There are other sellers though - of the same thing.

Yeah, I'd be happy to buy them marked correctly. I've put my chip into my TF330 set up with mmulib and maprom and had it running the frontier intro on loop whilst I was working last night, and it seems absolutely fine at 50MHz. Probably a bit overkill for a CD32 but I really wanted the chip for a TF536 once some more boards become available.

Have an MMU and work @50Mhz in TF530/536. They all look brand new and carry identical text on them... so they might be rebranded.

Listing is gone now but got mine today.. indeed remarked but runs solid. Had a remarked goldtop that would puke on Leonard's AmigAtari sound demo (is a good test btw.. gets things good and toasty!) Would always crash on Tao's Ultimate Medley part 1..

Also managed to pick one up before the seller closed up shop.
Obvious reprint when you compare the finish to a genuine CPU.

Ran it for about 20 minutes in a TF534 with Frontier and it started to crash, temperature of the chip was about 55c (Ambient was around 22c)
May stand up with a passive heatsink who knows, but not reliable from my brief experience.

I have a number of genuine 50C goldtops these never go above 30c running Frontier 24-7.
I have one genuine 33B (95 datecode) it works well also, but mid 40c temp.

Have not tried it in a TF536, mainly because I need to get off my bum and build one :roll: maybe this weekend :!:

These seem to have got old stock for sale at a very reasonable price. I have already added some in my basket but haven't really figured out how many to buy as 4 seems to be the sweet spot for me postage wise but I don't really need four.
