Born in Scotland, I grew up with the ZX81 as my first machine, then the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC6128 before getting my first Amiga, the A500. Before I upgraded to an A1200, I had the obligitary A501 RAM upgrade, a pair of A1010 drives and the A520 20Mb HDrive! However after my A1200 I built my first PC, an Intel DX2/66. Other than 3 systems, I still own all my original machines and have expanded my collection far beyond what I owned originally with more being added all the time.
I am a newbie YTer with a whopping 12 followers (oooh) but that's not why I do it. I hate living in a 'disposable' age where if something breaks, it gets binned. Add to that my love of retro systems and it made sense (to me at least) that I show others how they can maintain, repair and keep alive that old retro tech we love so much. But don't assume I am knowledgeable or a professional, far from it! I'm a keen amateur
