I understand there is a mod i can do to my ste to make it think it has 1meg memory to improve compatibility.
can someone point me in right direction

You lift up the MAD9 resistor and connect RAM side to 0v. That will make the STE think it has 1MB RAM. You will have to look at the STE schematic as to which resistor is it...

To my knowledge, nobody has actually done the mod and documented it yet.

I was about to do this mod and asked exxos about it a few years ago, but my health stopped me in my way, and my ste and my stf are waiting for me to finish upgrading/restoriing them since 3 years....
