I think it's one or two bits that have died on it. Eproms that are blank its saying they aren't and is failing to write correctly, just writing garbage.

Re: PhilCs blog / the latest things hes broken(fixed)
have you tried a different USB cable ? cheaper ones tend to screw up on all sorts of stuff especially when USB is used for power.

@PhilC I just realised you said you updated it, but if I recall there is a way to reflash the firmware, does rely on some disassembly and a bit of soldering though, and if I recall correctly a PickIt to do the programming.PhilC wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2020 9:31 am @rubber_jonnie yeah I've just updated it but it's still misbehaving
It's how I upgraded my original TL866 to add functionality.

Re: PhilCs blog / the latest things hes broken(fixed)
@rubber_jonnie it was like it before and after the update and has been getting progressively worse.
I'll order another one from Amazon and see how we go I think but thanks for the suggestions.

Re: PhilCs blog / the latest things hes broken(fixed)
So I had a few extra bits and pieces laying around and decided if I could get them all playing nice together with the H4.
That was until my eprom programmer packed up, so I couldn't burn a copy of Emutos to get it all up and running.
It passes all the Ram tests etc with Diagrom though, so hopefully when the new programmer arrives today I can get it running.
