Falcon repair - Phantom SE - need input.

Post by Bikerbob »

Hey all, I have already had this going on Atari-forum.. so I dont want to duplicate everything.

I am trying to fix my buddy's Falcon - it had a Phantom SE Accelerator installed - I think I might have a bad crystal?

http://atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 25#p389930

Thats the topic.. if you are into Falcons, and feel you might have input. I could really use it.

Thanks

I think as other have said in that thread, best to remove it and get a stock machine working first.

So I will need to source the SMD resistors removed and L102.

Repair the cut traces.. and a couple of the chips.. I am not sure pins are going back in.. so might have to replace the chips.

I guess I will start sourcing..

If your talking about the clock resistors which are normally removed, those are probably 33R. Inductors, no idea, Probably salvage them from a STFM, or just wire link over them for testing as they probably don't really do much.
