I listed some here already... https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 011#p24044derkom wrote: 25 Nov 2019 19:27 I've been wondering about that. I'm still a ways off, but it has occurred to me that I can't even try to boot the thing because I don't know what most of the jumpers do. :)

Re: derkom's attempt
Resistor networks in (minus any more @exxos forgot ), SIMM socket in (planning to try both memory setups), most ports in (I'll probably not install the DB19 until verifying this can boot), reset switch in.
No real surprises or challenges this time. I already knew the reset switch was going to be a little wonky (it was actually the first thing I checked when I got the board), but it can go in with a little "encouragement". :)

:bravo:
Well one resistor so far isn't bad I think
Yeah, stupid datasheets :roll:derkom wrote: 26 Nov 2019 20:18 I already knew the reset switch was going to be a little wonky (it was actually the first thing I checked when I got the board), but it can go in with a little "encouragement". :)

Re: derkom's attempt
Great progress @derkom almost there :)
@exxos - I remember we spent several days measuring the RESET switch when looking at the 3D models and footprints as they didn't match up.

Re: derkom's attempt
@Icky Yeah, and after all that, it didn't line up anyway. I didn't have any switches to measure at the time, so went on the datasheet dimensions.. Should stop doing that...Icky wrote: 26 Nov 2019 21:08 @exxos - I remember we spent several days measuring the RESET switch when looking at the 3D models and footprints as they didn't match up.

It's not too bad a fit, just Bend the ground pins slightly and it fits. 8/10 for effort
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
