Thank you for all your help! :) What would be your recommendation for converting jpg to GFB files? I have Paint Shop Pro 9, XnView, and Photoshop CS2.

I understand now. Hadn't read your message accurately. All I have to do now is stop it duplicating a portrait image across the whole screen and instead centre it and I'm sorted!

Have you any idea how to stop it tiling the image. I can't get an image in the centre. It's driving me nuts!

I have a workaround for that tiling, I just use a picture with the exact destkop resolution

Have you tried using ImageMagick (convert)?
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.
