I am not an expert regarding floppies, so I have absolutely no problem believing you :mrgreen:

After soaking over night and a run in the dishwasher, the case is looking much better already:

Now some retrobright on and see if we can catch a little sunlight today...

Yes, I have a one. So no big deal, I just didn't expect the thunderstorm, since it was so sunny in the morning ;)

24h hours of strong artificial sunlight later, the case came out improved but very spotty:

So will have to redo it or maybe simply paint it...

But the keyboard turned out very well:

In the meanwhile I modded the powersupply based on Exxos' instructions here https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/ ... x.htm#SR98. The results are pretty identical, so I think I am going with this one for the time being.

I reassembled the keyboard, cleaned the floppy and the system is running fine:

Now that I know that all parts are working, I can start harvesting the parts... Almost a pitty, but they will be reborn in something greater :)

As noted in a different thread (I think it was a Mega 4 one) this is the paint to use to renovate the case:

Available for all good DIY places apparently.

Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Okay, in the meantime I robbed hopefully everything off the donor board, what I need:

The board did arrive yesterday, and I really like it. Almost a pitty I have to solder things to it :)

After that I went through my stocks and ordered a lot of parts on Mouser. Hopefully next weekend I can start soldering.
