STe Boosters

Post by DyLucke »

Hi all.

I've been thinking about getting one STe 32mhz booster from Exxos, and i've finally made my mind, however i can't find them anywhere.
Is Exxos working on some new model so this is why the STe Boosters are not available at the moment?

Cheers.

Oh... Sorry about that.
Are there any alternatives to the STe available so far?

Thank you!

I'm not aware of anyone currently working on STE boosters no. I'm concentrating on my SEC booster, but thats for the STFM.

Don't know if you are still looking, but Exxos just found one STE booster:

If your STE has no socket like mine did, you can have a look at my description, how I solved that:

Hello there, IngoQ.
Thank you for the information.

Sorry about this late late late reply, i've been away for almost a year so far.

The information about how you solved the socket problem is very useful to me, since i only own soldered cpu mobos.
However i'm not able to do the work, too dificult for me.

By any chance, do you know anyone who could do the task? Of course service would be paid.

Let's see if i can make one of these STes to become noticeable quick!

Cheers!

This is not a recommend method of fitting the booster and shouldn't be done. You need a motherboard with a socketed CPU from factory and solder it in.

Paying someone to do this work I'll result in a higher cost than just getting a proper STE board in the first place.
