Automatic image resizing active

I have enable the default image uploading tool which will (or should) clamp image sizes automatically to 1600px max.

I have just tried uploading a large 12MB jpeg, and it got resized to about 400KB. So if others can try it out...

I set 1600px as the "displayed" image size on the forum is limited to 800px. So 1600px is of course double, so when a user clicks on the image, it zooms into 1600px size.. I tend to resize my image to 1600px.

800px is probably fine for most things, but I just wanted something in place which should allow a reasonable file size while keeping some extra resolution for more detailed stuff. Images below 500KB are a lot more acceptable than 5-10MB images.

Of course the drawback to this is if anyone posts any motherboard images where I would prefer a large resolution.. but the immediate issue is general uploaded images.

Ascii as in in real ASCII pasted in the form of text or ASCII art pictures that are in the form of JPGs/PNGs/GIFs or some other actual image format?
Something tells me proper ASCII art may look a bit weird, bound to happen with formatting and such.
