Hi, has anyone had any success with MIDI output. This is a big deal for me as it's prime reason I got my original Atari. On the H5 I can't get it working at all with equipment that works fine with an original Atari . Is there something I'm missing like a jumper setting maybe? Has anyone tested MIDI on an H5 please?

Midi works fine on the H5. I posted in your other topic to check the orientation of the optocoupler and that its the correct type and of course not faulty.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Oh sorry I didn't see your reply. I was thinking it may be upside down (didn't look yet) just based on the fact that if one item was upsidedown.. well, it could be more. Was yours from the same batch I wonder? If it was it should be the same.

There's only been one batch of C5B. Looking at my build blog the opto is in the right way around.

Ahh yes the 6850 chips. Great call. Will test tomorrow. I didn't realise that those were the chips responsible for MIDI until I just looked them up. Cheers and here's hoping. I have a spare
