WTB: 5 1/4" 1.2mb HD disk drive

Evening all,

Does anyone have a working as in reading AND writing 5 1/4" 1.2mb HD floppy drive they would like to sell? I've got two that read but won't write unfortunately.

Hi Phil,

I have a 5.25" floppy drive in a big box of junk in my shed somewhere, but I have no idea if a) it works at all or b) it's HD. I don't even have an actual 5.25" floppy with which to test it!

If you're still looking, though, I can try to dig it out and send you some pictures. You can decide if it's worth me sending it over as a punt. No charge. Just postage, perhaps.

It's a Panasonic ju-475-4.

From what I can see from this service manual (https://www.minuszerodegrees.net/manual ... 122000.pdf), it's HD.

It's a bit in need of a clean up & service!

@Badwolf I've seen a lot lot worse. I bet a bit of a cleanup and it'll work fine.
