I got lucky and managed to bag a Competition Pro controller fro a tenner. It was filthy though and missing screws, however it has proved to be a decent controller after some maintenance and it does have turbo switches for all of the buttons.stephen_usher wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2026 11:48 pm I've just got home from my partner's place and tested the "high quality" N64 controllers.
To be fair the mouldings are good and the buttons etc. feel OK...
On one controller the analogue "down" works only if you pull it down a little, then it goes up.
On the other controller the D-pad does left and down if you press left, most of the time.
Otherwise they're fine.
I didn't expect anything better for £23 including delivery though to be honest.
Not sure how it ended up this way, never having had Nintendo consoles BITD, but I've ended up with a Famicom, a NES, a SNES, an N64, a WII and a WII-U, not to mention numerous Gameboys and a Switch Lite!!!
Good job I have enough space to store them...
