- Chips that passed my 16MHz testing stay at the current price, listed as 16MHz burst rated.
- Chips that failed at 16MHz but check out perfectly fine at 8MHz will be listed cheaper, as 8MHz tested. I'm taking a small hit on these compared to the old pricing, but I'd rather clear them at a fair price for what they actually are than have them sit around or get sold as something they're not.
This applies across the board to both 00-02 and 02-02 stock. After 105 chips and a proper test protocol, the marking on the chip turned out not to predict which pile it lands in, so the pricing doesn't pretend it does either. If you specifically need 16MHz for an HD upgrade, ask for the burst rated stock. If you're after a straight 8MHz replacement, the cheaper ones will do the job with no compromise at all, since every single one of them has been shown to work fine at 8MHz first.
Go to the store and just type WD1772 into the search.
I literally have hundreds of these tips and they are all brand-new (NOS) and not sourced from China! It may take some days for them to build the quantities in the store is testing them all individually for the accurate rating takes a lot of time.
Of course please spread the word if you notice people wanting these chips anywhere else on other forums.
