Got annoyed flicking through posts trying to find images. So used AI to create a new extension to do the job. It does the same search like normal, but automatically splits out all the images into a simple grid and "cuts out" the posts from view.
If anyone wants the test the search, ping me below, i'll send you the link.
Still can't find the images I want though..

Re: New image search prototype extension
No testers have come forward, so I just made it live and just see what happens..
I've added an image search to the forum. There's a new image icon in the search box at the top of the page, sat next to the magnifying glass and the cog.
It works much like the normal search, except instead of listing posts it shows you thumbnails of the image attachments from all the posts that matched. So if you remember roughly what a post said but not where it was, you can go looking for the picture rather than reading through a page of results. Type your words into the search box at the top and click the image icon, or click the icon first and search from the page itself.
Click any image to open it full size.
There are two tickboxes on the page:
Include filenames. This also matches against the attachment filenames, not just the post text. Useful when a file was named something sensible but the post itself never mentioned it.
Show post links. This puts a link under every image which takes you back to the post it came from, and highlights your search words when you land there. It opens in a new tab so you don't lose your results.
It's available to logged in members, so guests won't see the icon. It only searches posts and forums that are visible to everyone, so nothing from the private areas will turn up in there.
Give it a go and let me know if anything looks broken, or if you have any ideas for it.
