As was mentioned in a Reddit post, if it can do that with DOOM, then
why not consider a suitable format and do full motion video...

Or...since the transputer side of things seems to be pretty amazing,
a capable, modern browser that can handle most of today's standards?

We can dream, right? :)

Doom is very impressive for sure, but it'll be nice when it's playable fully rather than just the demo, but fair do's, it's a good start.

Now I have 2 additional transputer modules I'd like to get familiar with just how to use them for X Windows as I'm not sure they are just now, though the CPUs are actually started with startns atw.map command, and the map file is one I created with the ATW/Helios tools.

I'll figure it out I'm sure.

Agreed about DOOM - it's great eye-candy at the moment though. :)

Not something I'd have ever thought I'd see on my MSTE for sure. though Dread is pretty good on my 4MB MSTE.

Speaking of Dread, I wonder if we'll ever get a full release.

That would be nice. :)

Dread is now a dead project having been reborn as Grind

The ST(e) version of Grind is not being actively worked on but I am sure that KK wants it to be part of the final release (which will undoubtedly be commercial)

Thanks for the update. I'd be perfectly happy to buy a full, boxed set, commercial version of this. :)

FYI there's a new, very-updated version of XPtr/TransputerToy on the site now.

It should also fix the weird green-blue colour scheme you enjoyed in 32bit colour mode so it works properly now - although overall that graphics mode uses a lot of RAM (!) and is a bit slower. I'm mostly sticking with 16bit as a good balance for everything.

Among the many bigger changes, I made a small slightly confusing change to the config.jsn so the 'slot?_device' fields accept 'T8/T4/empty' states while the 'slot?' fields just accept 'on/off' to set the menu defaults. This makes a bit more sense than the previous version, which had the 'empty' state in the on/off combo. :)
