Awesome !

V 3.02 is now live (beta page is now disabled) - I'm calling it the release version as I don't plan to do any more updates to it now.

As mentioned, a new feature is built to turn on / off the raster unpacking effect.

I don't think the Debug timer build option was mentioned in my top post. It basically adds a timer to the code and times how long it takes for the decompression to happen. The actual program *shouldn't*actually run. This is by design. So if anyone wanted to compare (like I do) decompression times on lots of programs, quitting straight after decompression speeds this process up immensely.

V3.03 released.

I forgot I had another packer which wasn't in the list yet. This one "tries" to find a middle-ground between fast and slow depack speeds. Mostly it doesn't compress as much, but has x5 speed up over the heavy compression types. YMMV.

SYSINFO run.

Some overall examples..

2.PNG

So the new XNRV2ET is probably the best overall "bang for buck" compressor. YMMV !

In case any asks why 2MB limit. The intention of the packer was to pack programs to fit on floppies. 2MB exceeds the ~1.8MB max format on a HD floppy. So 2MB was just rounded up. Though I suppose the limit could be higher as compression would make the program smaller anyway.. But will leave it at 2MB unless anyone has any real reason for me to up the limit. TBH, I couldn't find a program over 800K to try anyway !
