There's no version reference on the box, manual, floppy or cheat sheet.
The readme just says to enter V1.23 on the registration card :)
The manual is a paperback book.

DO NOT USE MOBILE / CGNAT DEVICES WHERE THE IP CHANGES CONSTANTLY!
At this time, it is unfortunately not possible to whitelist users when your IP changes constantly.
You may inadvertently get banned because a previous attack may have used the IP you are now on.
So I suggest people only use fixed IP address devices until I can think of a solution for this problem!

Re: WANTED - HISOFT BASIC V2 MANUAL
Is there not a published date towards the front of the book ? as 87/88/89 is version 1 and 91 is version 2.Rustynutt wrote: 03 Jan 2023 01:22 There's no version reference on the box, manual, floppy or cheat sheet.

Also for example, these commands are not in version 1 manual.

Re: WANTED - HISOFT BASIC V2 MANUAL
Apologies.
On the 2nd, and only page "1988"
And correct, those above pages don't exist in this manual.

Re: WANTED - HISOFT BASIC V2 MANUAL
Ive had a fairly good loock on the 'net on your behalf... (abe books and the like)
I cant believe it is so hard to find!
I can find new v1 manuals, but theres not much of a trace of v2.
Did it come out just before Hisoft abandoned the ST market or something?

Thanks, I'm not sure when it came out, likely as you say towards the end and maybe not many books were made.. hisoft were still active in the PC world I think a few years ago, I have emailed them multiple times but never had a response :(mrbombermillzy wrote: 24 Mar 2026 14:10 Ive had a fairly good loock on the 'net on your behalf... But yeah, it seems a bit of a rare one. I do have a PDF scan of it, so all is not lost, but I just prefer to have a book for some things..

What about a 'plan b'...
You'll need a mono laser printer for this.
IIRC, my Hisoft manuals (Devpac at least) is just a ringbound A5 affair anyway, so a binder should suffice. :)
