I have a HP1663CS logic analyzer and can provide timing when the STE is not booting.
Where should I connect the CLOCK input pin of the analyzer ?
- on CLK8 from pin 3 of the MCU (U400), pin 15 68000 (U100) ?
- or somewhere on the booster ?
I have connected:
- analyzer input #0 to pin 4 of U405
- analyzer input #1 to end of wire on the booster
- analyzer input #2 to pin 1 of the GAL on the booster
Let me know if other pin input will be nice to have.

I cant help with the LA stuff.. But not sure if your aware, there a 16mhz clock somewhere to the right of the shifter.. You can actually try soldering the 32mhz there for a test.
Have you tried the original PSU? Your likely not getting very good regulation looking by the long PSU cable you have..

all test where made with a Meanwell RD-50N-R5 and an the original ATARI STE PSU, with the same results, white screen, no booting when the STE is powered for a 'long' time.
I guess I should power up one time a day, or take longer coffee breaks !!!!

I cannot found on the PCB, except on the IC packages, but I don't want solder on these really tiny pads.

This is where I took 16mhz off.. Must be a via there.. You would have to check which pin that goes to on the shifter yourself.. I think it was one near the top right somewhere..
