Just a quick thread hijacking. Would your contact be able to check if they are able to get hold of ET4000/W32i GPU chips?exxos wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 6:26 pm Looks like it will cost about £30 to get a bracket with PS2 connector and cablecannot even find them on Ali express.
Anyway, I have asked my UK broker for a price on the MC68040RC40 mask L88M.. They only deal with genuine parts.. But the price will probably be insanely high, but no harm in asking..... I have asked the prices for 5 and 10 pcs. No use asking for lower amounts.
I think this was the thread I was looking at regarding fake CPUs

If you can tell me the full part number and a image of the chip, I can ask... They will want a target price and quantity..PhilC wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 7:07 pm Just a quick thread hijacking. Would your contact be able to check if they are able to get hold of ET4000/W32i GPU chips?

Im going to start pulling stuff out for CL4 soon. I'd say theres a fair chance I have one of these in my famous boxes of leads.
If you can hang on 2-3 days I will have a look and post it to you if I do.

I might still have the bracket.
Re: Fixing my Milan 040 (or not) blog
I actually have a bracket. Just it doesn't have the connectors. I've seen connectors on AliExpress, so I could hack that together as a last resort.

Or hack a PS2 to usb adapter.

I haven't measured the PCB and a quick look at Wikipedia shows the numerous sizes of AT and ATX boards.peters wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 5:43 pm I can't see any mention of the form factor but I think it is full size AT.
My Milan is in the safe 17" x 17" case that they used in the original adverts.

Cool. I only ever saw the adverts of it.peters wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 10:44 pm I haven't measured the PCB and a quick look at Wikipedia shows the numerous sizes of AT and ATX boards.

The board is about 10x9 inches. So seems micro ATX.

Been looking at capacitor replacements. They look like 1.5mm lead spacing. So these best ones I can find.
