Today was keyboard day...

The plastic parts were repaired first with my trusty Humbrol:

Then the weird cable was replaced:

And a new mouse replaced the ugly and yellowed one delivered with the TT:

Just a question for TT owners.

Has the mouse to be connected exclusively into the right port or can it be also connected into the left port ?

And can a joystick be connected into both ports or only into the left one ?

Sorry for this stupid question, but my mouse doesn't work when connected into the left port. So unless it's a hardware problem, it's meant to be like that.

Thanks for your feedback.

There is only support for a mouse on one of the ports.

Joysticks *can* be used in either (but that depends on the game).

Thanks !

So it's not a hardware related issue.

As I mentioned, I have the same keyboard for my MSTE, and the picture on the front of the manual shows the mouse plugged into the right hand port.

Further to that, the manual states the mouse should be plugged into the right hand port and that joysticks can be plugged into either the left or right hand ports.

I think that's reasonably definitive :)

Have the TT user's manual downloaded now, and it states the same thing.

Nice to have consistency across models :)

Electronically the TT keyboard is just the same as an STFM keyboard but with an internal reset circuit to reduce the number of wires needed. So, just like the STFM only joystick port 1 works with the mouse.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

hello all,
just like this topic, I got a TT, not arrived yet, but ...

I already thinking to boost it, and of course I crossed Storm, Thunder, Speedy and Nova on my researches.

The only problem is where to buy the Storm, Thunder and Speeding cards ?
I cannot find any website to order and catch some manual / info / price about it, except here on Exxos, as usual.

Any link ?
