STE536 BUYERS INTERESTS
Re: STE536 BUYERS INTERESTS
Declaring interest in two boards, prefer to use my own 288s. Will test with 7.5ns CPLDs, I don't have any 5ns parts.
Re: STE536 BUYERS INTERESTS
Just registered to express an interest after watching the latest Technoshed video about this, would definitely be interested in purchasing a finished build. I was just searching on the off-chance that there might be an easier method for upgrading the STE's processing speed, and this would seem to be exactly that!

Expressing interest.
Re: STE536 BUYERS INTERESTS
I know and understand it's hard to pin these things
down sometimes, but is it possible that a full version
would be available by June 1st?
Thanks much.

Likely not..Even if I went full production run tomorrow it wouldn't be enough time to do everything. We still trying to figure out various odd issues yet. Debugging takes time by multiple people. Then there there's more beta testing runs...Darklord wrote: Sun Apr 27, 2025 6:07 pm I know and understand it's hard to pin these things down sometimes, but is it possible that a full version would be available by June 1st?

Okay, I kinda figured that was an unrealistic date. Thanks, and thanks for continuing to make great products.exxos wrote: Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:17 pmLikely not..Even if I went full production run tomorrow it wouldn't be enough time to do everything. Re: STE536 BUYERS INTERESTS
I would also be interested in one of these.
Re: STE536 BUYERS INTERESTS
I'm still interested in one. But shipping to the EU (Belgium) is going to be a problem
Feeling old yet?

As shown here viewtopic.php?p=128054#p128054
I have about 4 boards of the current revision which I could put in the store...BUT...
The PLD will need removing, which won't be easy for most people as it's done with leadfree solder. Then a new PLD soldered on.. and you need to know how to program your own ROM and PLD.
Complete boards will likely be a few months away as its still essentially in the testing phase at the moment. So anyone who wants one of these boards will have to have the capabilities and know-how to put it together and accept it is still essentially a beta board at this point.
If anyone wants to buy them and build them up and sell them complete then I have no problems with that either. But end users should still have a necessary skills to at least know how to update the firmware.
