So my 520ST 4mb RAM upgrade has been working wonderfully for the past two years or so. I just powered it on tonight and instead of a long 4mb RAM check (running TOS 2.06) it showed the short 1mb RAM check.
This is the machine I installed my ST536 in a month or so ago and prior to that it had a TF536 in it.
I was thinking that if a RAM chip went bad, it would show 2mb of RAM and not 1mb. Any ideas of where to start troubleshooting? Has anyone seen something like this before?
Thanks!!

I posted too soon. Turns out one of the lines running underneath the board was poked through by a pin on the bottom of the board.
All good now :)

Oh I do, believe me, I have enough of the "I haven't a clue what just happened" ones as it is.rubber_jonnie wrote: 21 Aug 2024 09:25Don't you just love it when a fix is that quick :)coonsgm wrote: 21 Aug 2024 01:35 I posted too soon.
