Are you involved with any of these museums exxos? I'd visit exxos' Atari archive.
The 'Uzebox Omega is a fully open source games console that you can build in a weekend, even with no previous electronics experience:

Nope. I believe the Derby one might have a couple of my items (VGA adapters I think) but that's about it.

If I was 20 years younger then I probably would have loved to mess around with all the old stuff and even repairing it etc, but these days its lack of time and lack of health getting in the way (as well as bills!) . Aside from that, after repairing stuff for 30+ years, it's not something I am motivated to do anymore anyway.

I never really thought that some of my original stuff may be museum worthy in years to come. Though mostly I just end up having a clear out and binning the stuff after a while anyway. But as the majority of my stuff was made after year 2000.. Probably not museum worthy yet anyway.

I must find the time to visit this place - it's only a short journey up the A38!

Problem is I could only go at the weekend, when for some reason my wife wants to spend time with me and she is very much not interested ...

Yeah is not far me either. It's mostly just time limiting me going to all these places. By the time the weekend comes, I'm just completely uninterested in doing anything anyway  my girlfriend is on her own all week, so I just go and spend weekends with her and watch TV etc

Also the irony, that I am spending all day pretty much, surrounded by old tech, and going to visit more old tech on a weekend is not really that appealing somehow

And you call yourself hardcore!?

I can understand you not having time to help them with their repair jobs but I'm surprised you haven't visited either of your local computer museums.

Do you own several Amigas too or did you stay true to the way of the Fuji?

I consider myself retired :)

I did not even know they existed until I did the post on here.

I did see some machines last year at the last cyber Legends event. Though after about 10 minutes, I cannot play games on them because of my RSI, which kind of hampers some of the experience sadly.

So other than wandering around and looking machines, nothing wrong with that of course, otherwise is a little bit pointless in me going anywhere .

I did have 2 Amigas but I swapped them at the last Atari event. I've never had time to do anything with them. I got a Milan 040 which I haven't even looked at for over 20 years now...
