Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

The main issue I have now is that even running the 7805 at 9v or even 7.5v, it's taking about .5A on the input and the 7805 is getting quite warm, so I need to find a bigger heatsink for it, unless I decide to run it direct from 5v, though the 7805 does provide a layer of protection from the wrong voltages being applied by accident.

OK, so I am trying the 7805 with a larger heatsink at 7.5v input and it is OK:

However I have ordered a Traco 7805 replacement and I'll decide later what to do.
