Hi, I am a system, security and performance software engineer.
Evything started bad : Amstrad PC1512 with the 640KiB extension card.
To say the least, it was not a bad machine, but not the one I wanted.
Now, the decisive choice, Amiga or Atari; and the famous "Power without the price" motto.
But, frankly speaking, I do not regret my choice any second from this day on.
Now, I am the happy owner of :
- a Falcon 030, 14 MiB, CT1 dated from april 96, 68882
- a 4 Mib STE
- a 4 MiB STf
- a dying sc1435
- a SM124
- an Amiga 500 with a Philips CM8833-II stereo color monitor
The big picture being :
- 4*2u superposable racks
- 1*2u fly case to bring one of my babies to parties.
- Fully crossplatform development toolchain.
- Pilotable CI/CD from PC to Atari/Amiga, and back.
Ok, most of these hardwares need recapping and components replacement + addition (bye bye IDE, welcome CF Card reader), which are on their way.
According to budget and devoted time, I plan to put these machines back on tracks
My priority is the F030.
Would you know someone trustable in North of France who could handle all the hardware (paid) job ?
Thanks for reading,
Best regards,
Greg.
