Open ST file on Mac so can copy to SD for Atari to open

Hi Forum,

Sorry if this has been addressed in another thread already as I assume it is a very common question but I am not smart enough to find it.

I would like to either know if there is an Atari ST software that can open ST type disk images and store them on a say harddisk/SD device or is there a software for apple Mac that can open the ST file so that I can copy it to the SD for the Atari ST to open.

I have no gotek and just an ultrasatan.

One of many possible ways: Install Hatari, mount the ST image as floppy drive, mount a folder on your Mac as GEMDOS HD, copy the files.

I don't have MacOS to try but isn't it as simple as :

sudo mount -o loop floppy.st /mnt/

I do what @czietz has suggested and use Hatari, works great on either Mac (My primary OS) or Windows.
