Yes, as you can see on the picture, two MEMC are fitted on the IFEL board.
I have to de-solder the current MEMC on the motherboard, fit a socket and then plug the expansion.

Yes, they're damn expensive.
But I think you were looking at the ATOM WIDE stuff, which is more expensive than the IFEL I have.

I looked at IFEL too, which seem to be about £100 less than the Atomwide. The IFEL I saw was £270, so not on my shopping list at the moment!!HigashiJun wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 12:54 pm @rubber_jonnie

Yes, I don't really use other eBay sites. What I found was this: IFELHigashiJun wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2024 1:07 pm @rubber_jonnie

However, since I first looked, it's gone out of stock, so all I can find now are Atomwide boards. There is one for £99, but it looks a bit beat up, so I'm not inclined to go down that route.

The one you see for £99 would need a lot of repairs to be done IMHO.

Re: ACORN A5000 inbound
I would say, I am very interested in your experiences with the IFEL tough, as some software, like the NFC client, Sunfish, is really very memory heavy, so more would always help.
