Well, an unusual post (for me anyway ;) ) while waiting for a flight at the start of a business trip.

First, thanks to @TheNameOfTheGame for supplying the RSVE board - I plan to post a separate topic about fitting that to a remake board as soon as I get some hobby time.

Almost no time for the STs of late, alas though I hope that will change very soon. No relevant new additions to the collection either (bar a Novation control surface for my music setup, which came with a copy of Cubase for PC/Max).

Trying to work out a schedule that might allow me to get to the event in October... will see how that goes I guess.

Anyway, better get back to reality before I miss the plane...

On the PC-TOS CF cards.
I've tried all sorts of ways to make this reliable. It seems partitioning a card using HD Driver using "Windows and TOS" always ends up eventually being hosed at some point IF partition size is above 32MB.
I realize more recent versions are supposed to be able to handle this, but.
So I too have a 128MB CF card. It has its "primary" partition at 32MB, and the rest a normal TOS partition. It's my go-to swap card :)

I hope you can make it this time.

Perhaps we can focus more on Atari music production, so if you want to bring some ST music gear, that would be good.

Ok, so over one week on and I've yet to make any progress with the ST bits.

However, the Amiga to VGA adapter I ordered arrived today so I will try to test that along with the NEC monitor kindly handed down by @PhilC...and possibly the two Amiga 500s that @exxos "forced" me to re-home (cough).
The rejig of my desk to do this should then allow me to get one is the STs back on the 'operating table' for some other testing....

And the first of the A500s I tried boots to show the insert disc screen...and appears to load Populous - result!

Thanks - the next trick will be to see if the other one works too...and then fix the A500 & A500+ that I've had for years.

Next step after that is probably to fit a Gotek to one of them & see what s/w I can get running from there...Speedball 2 would be a good start (I remember that on the Amiga having much better sound than on the ST, for example).

Anyway, on that note of success I thin kit's time to drag my carcass off to bed & try to shift the last remnants of the post-COVID cold that I've been fighting for the last 10 days or so...

Good stuff with the Amigas, and I hope the Covid shifts soon, was 7 days for me to test negative, but I was just worn out the following week.

Thanks - though it's booting but not reading the floppy drive today

The other one doesn't boot to the load disc screen, so that needs an even deeper delve when I have the time.

Yes, just still struggling with the energy levels myself (I'd say about 50% of my usual level now). Hope your recovery is quicker than mine!
