Yes that’s right without the audio fixes
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Indeed the sound fixes solved the sound issue.
Also installed the blitter chip.
Now which booster. I bought the 16 mhz one from exxos but also ordered the DSTB-1 pcb based on the Gerber files some time ago. So after some soldering I think I now build a working DSTB (anazing that this works).
Seems to work great only installed the led incorrectly….. So no blinking light show yet.
I think this can also decode the tos and be switched in 8 mhz mode (loaded emutos from floppy to test the 8 mb). Not yet tried this.

So TOS decoding works on the DSTB1 however the blitter when activated does not work correctly in tos 2.06.
In 1.04 it worked ok also in emutos with altram (loaded from disk).
This is without any altram or altrom program.
With altrom it bombs out when blitter is on in tos.
Any idea why this is?

The blitter can't talk to Alt-RAM and TOS doesn't know any better than to put the data in the biggest free memory area, which is Alt-RAM. So, the blitter moves junk into video RAM.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Even without altram installed it does have this issue. According to the firmware release note on the dstb1 the blitter can access the altram.

For a 68000 CPU , the blitter *can* access the "alt-ram" . Blitter can't access *any* RAM above the 16MB mark, IE TTram.

Assume you are using the latest firmware ?

I don't know if @Badwolf has any suggestions. Though nobody yet has really done much testing with it yet AFAIK. It's been on my "to do list" for a while now.. But never enough hours in the day to deal with everything.

Yes indeed that version!
I use the pin 1 tos decoding feature.
Under tos 1.04 I don’t have any issues and in principle tos 2.06 should be comparable to tos 1.04 if there is no altram installed (i assume) for the blitter.
The only difference is the tos decoding (glue vs dstb1).
With altram the behavior is comprable (so screen errors).
With altrom I get 4 bombs when the blitter is activated.

Are you sure the blitter is turned on with TOS104 as I think it defaults to off ?

Yes I’m pretty sure.
It also defaults to on it seems.
And emutos is also ok with altram and blitter
