Indeed well done to @mrbombermillzy and @PhilC for organizing a great day!

I tried to re-trace where sat-nav took me when I started out and I think this was the route. I have no idea why it took us off the M1 right after joining it!

Also the A50 to M1 junction has totally changed a couple years back. I used to come down the M1 from Dawns mums address to join the A50. Used to be this island there.

So thats where I got really confused as I was expecting a roundabout there and seems a couple years back the whole area has totally changed!! I thought that was going to be the really easy bit just getting on the M1! Because it all changed I almost got on the wrong side of the M1

@exxos that route only makes sense if there had been an accident or something, otherwise WTF?

Glad you made it without too much road rage

Yeah I wondered if it was slow traffic or a accident, but I am not even sure my sat-nav has any "real time news". But that took me like 15mins out of my way right at the start and it was pretty messy slow moving traffic as well

I had to ring Icky as I couldn't find the hall either.

Was loads of parked cars on that road and one car was sticking out more which I had to avoid, but some cow coming the other way kept on coming waving her arms for me to move over, like move over where ?! I would have run into the back of one of the parked cars, she shouldn't have kept on going knowing a van was coming the other way, people do that kinda crap in town around here. They don't care one bit, don't see anything outside of their own limited perspective, they just got no sense and don't follow the simple rule of only pulling out when safe to do so :cussing: It's why I avoid all town centers now full stop. Its why I go miles out of my way to use the M1 to goto dawns mums as the motorway tends to be a bit more "mature" driving style wise.

Yeah, Thats enough adventure for one decade!

Funnily enough @exxos, my satnav software was playing games on the way out. It was trying to send me on an infinite loop on the M1 southbound; coming off the next junction to turn around and go the wrong way, then coming off the next junction to turn around again, repeating like that endlessly.

Luckily, like Luke skywalker, I turned the machine off and used the 'force' to figure out my own way home.

ah that sucks :( @PhilC told me how to get out on the way out. Oddly going back was pretty simple and sat-nav behaved.

I think all sat-navs are terrible. I bought my Garmin one as it had "Advanced lane guidance" only it doesn't work half the time. Then there are "next junction" icons which make no sense at all. That one either tells you to many instructions 2 miles before any junction, then tells you instructions for the next junction while your trying to remember and navigate the previous set of instructions. Its easier just to turn the thing off.

I'm going back to printing bits of maps out on paper, think that was simpler

Cool. I'm quite sad to have missed it.

I was particularly looking forward to seeing Icky's keyboard, especially after the teaser. What was the big reveal? Is it going into prod?

Lately I've been trying to find springs that might work (like the spring kits of old) but no joy. It's quite hard to buy springs in the UK these days :D
This is because I simply can't navigate the Best site at all to buy a TT-Touch kit :D

I gave up on sat-navs a while back. I held out against Google for ages as it used to be slow and my Tom-Tom still had the edge. I bought a new Tom-Tom One a couple of years back but it was so slow. Now I just use Google. I find it pretty good at rerouting around traffic.
