Yeah :( I mean I could have tried the diagrom already if I had my board.. not easy to "debug remotely" .. Saying that you guys have made huge progress and we got a lot sorted over this past week. Hopefully this issue will be the last and we can start getting on with running GB6 and soak testing etc.Icky wrote: 23 Sep 2018 14:06 It must be quite frustrating seeing the progress and not having your hands on one. I guess you have to apply all the fixes once you get it.

Hooked up my STF to seial using an FTDI adaptor and I am getting an out put but its' nothing meaningful.exxos wrote: 23 Sep 2018 13:17 If you can hook up serial, then might be worth seeing if that works with the diagnostic cart.. worth a try I guess... No saying it will be much use, but at least it will test the rs232..
Am I Correct its 8 N 1 and 9600?

I think so yes.. The garbage output could just be what the cart is sending out.Forgottenmyname wrote: 23 Sep 2018 16:21 Hooked up my STF to seial using an FTDI adaptor and I am getting an out put but its' nothing meaningful.

Icky, look at the serial on the scope and see if the bit width is 9600 baud,

Re: Icky - Progress
Got there in the end - gone are the days when I had loads of serial cables lying around.
We have some more messages via serial so we know that the serial port works on the STF
So what we get is a message before the E7 one:

Re: Icky - Progress
so I6 (IPL 6) is the MFP. "No (I6) error" ..looks like MFP interrupt handler are ok.
Working ones : MegaSTE (68020) / TT030 / Falcon with AB040 & Eclipse / 1040STF
Need testing : Falcon with CT2

Re: Icky - Progress
It took me a couple of attempts to get the cable sorted out from STF 25 pin to my USB Serial 25 pin cable.

Re: Icky - Progress
Please could you show me the pinout you used?
It might be incompatible with my FTDI guess, so can try a usb-serial later on.
