1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
Re: 1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
You just move the 0 jumper to the pads nextdoor.
Re: 1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
Move 0 ohm resistor from jc31 to jc30, OK
What about Gotek as externql drive, should be a problem ?

Re: 1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
There shouldn't be a problem with gotec but I've never owned one so can't offer support for that specifically. I don't recall anyone having any issues.
Re: 1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
Where to connect DO wire from the board into the drive ? S1 or s0 ?
Re: 1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
I think you need to read how the kit is installed https://exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/floppy/index.htm
Re: 1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
Almost all working now, 720/1.44 as internal A drive, Ultrasatan as external HDD.
the only problem is the GOTEK do not work as external B drive, is it due to the HD7.1 driver ?

Re: 1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
I don't understand your question. There is no driver for it. As said before I never used gotec so don't know if it supports both 720/1.44 modes ? Maybe try forcing 720k mode ? Either way, the module is pretty much passive in 720k mode. The kit will work with internal or external drives 720k or 1.44 . 1.44 assumes your WD1772 is stable at that speed. Best to check with a real 1.44 drive and verify that isn't a problem. I don't know if gotec needs drive selects changing to work properly with gotec either ? Might be worth searching the forum for the guides and others who might have used gotec to how they set it all up.zfrenchy wrote: Sat Aug 05, 2023 8:59 pm the only problem is the GOTEK do not work as external B drive, is it due to the HD7.1 driver ?
Re: 1.44 FLOPPY PCB v7.1
I meant 7.1HD card driver (hardware).
Thanks for the answer, I will try with an external floppy drive first. May be something wrong on the ST.
