Post by ccarl84 »

Hello community,

I seemed to have seen a program to convert .bas files to .asc and vice versa. Can you help me ?

Thanks.

Bonjour la communauté,

Il me semblait avoir vu un programme permettant de convertir des fichiers .bas vers .asc et vice versa.
Pouvez-vous m'aider ?

Merci.

But which Atari BASIC? I know of at least two, one is the Metacomco one which came with European STs in the late 80s. There was an earlier one as well I think which was distributed by Atari.

Then, of course, there was HiSoft BASIC.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

In STOS Basic.
By this way, I can read in GEM directly.

Just do save "filename.asc" in STOS editor. Note it won't save banks in asc format. You have to do save "filename.mbs".
