Which version of Sysinfo are you using? I don't have a testing menu on the one I just downloaded.

OK, I have the file, I just tried 2.24 but it said not enough memory, let me try your image.

OK, after a bit of faffing I got it working.

So your 65XE looks like this:

And my 600XL (64K) and stock 800XL look like this:

So it's nice to see the bug in action and we have a baseline to work from now.

It is indeed. Problem verified.

The mainboard is now out and the GTIA marked for removal, but I need to get back to work now so can't carry on and I'll let you know as I progress.

This probably won't help, but this is my 65 XE outputting via VBXE through my OSSC to HDMI :)

I love the VBXE video quality.

My personal 65XE, which I have owned from new, has Ultimate 1MB, VBXE and stereo POKEYMax. I have a similar specced 800XL. I also have a SIDE3 cart.

I did build out my 600XL the same way, but had some issues with it not behaving as expected, so I dropped the lot back into the 800XL from whence it came.

Atari 130 XE was my second computer after ZX Spectrum in the 80s. I travelled for it to the West Berlin from Poland when the Wall was still in place. Now I finally got one and I will definitely get more - I really like it and it is a predecessor to Amiga as both were designed by Jay Miner. The display list and the copper list are really so similar and I find coding for 8-bit Atari more fun than for the Commodore c64.

I always felt the Atari 8 bit machines were the spiritual predecessor to the Amigas given their custom chipsets etc.

BTW your machine has slots for 2 more RAM ICs so it could go to 128KB. Personally I'd just go for U1MB, but thought you'd like to know.
