It 'may' be the cable, so I will get a C64 specific one as I don't recall what this cable was for.

Might also be worth doing a buzz test on it.

OK, so new S-Video cable is on order for the C64.

As is an STM32F103C as I need to build a BlueSCSI fairly quick. My A5000 SCSI drive is getting pretty erratic, and I think it'll be a matter of time before the drive dies, so time to build a replacement.

Next, I need to stop shopping until payday...

If the cable is already busted, perhaps some wiggling or 'cramping' areas of the cable might connect the broken luma connection.

I've had plenty of badly stored cables (causing stretching and broken leads) in the past and this has worked on several occasions as a last resort. :D

Indeed it could be something like that, however I do store cables very carefully to avoid hard bends, but the I'll compare to the new cable when it arrives.

It is a nice C64 isn't it :)
