I've a new basket case to try to get running... A Mac IIci.

This has been passed from retro-person to retro-person, previously CRG:

and it's my turn so see what I can do.

Unfortunately, after the last update he managed to break it even further so it doesn't chime or anything.

Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.

I think the first thing I'm going to do is to desolder the M/B power connector and put it on long long wires so that I can relocate the power supply. The PSU plugs directly into the M/B from above and covers a lot of the PCB, mostly where I need to investigate, so I need it out of the way.

Nice, I'd quite like one of those, and a IIGS. Has a battery bomb gone off?

It had, but there was damage the opposite side of the board. It seems the more that CRG tinkered the worse it got.

I'll watch the video later tonight, see what CRG got up to. Good luck, it might be a challenge!!!

Good luck with this one @stephen_usher. I’m always a little reluctant to take on a project someone else has been working on.

Good luck, I think you will need it with this one.

Original state (after I had parted the PSU from the case which had melted together because of the battery):

I just need something to tinker with and keep me occupied. So, the more broken the better. ;-)
