For me the other Sega Saturn "must have" peripheral is a Virtua Stick. MK-80302 is the UK part number, the Japanese one sold in higher numbers so is cheaper (albeit the wrong colour for UK Saturns) HSS-0104. It transforms the experience of games like Virtua Fighter 2 and lots of other great Saturn arcade games.

I can imagine that would be a sweet add on for the whole arcade experience. I find the Saturn to be the best system to replicate the Sega arcade experience, and I reckon this would only enhance it.

I actually have a couple of the Japanese ones which I need to get round to using as they are huge in size.

I do prefer the look of the UK sticks, the Japanese version is rather bright. The only joypad I have has a Japanese colour scheme, so I will probably have a look for a UK one.

It's another one of those Sega Saturn items where they are much cheaper at CEX than eBay etc.

Yeah, the Virtua Arcade Stick is a really good price on CEX, I think I'll have to pick one up, and probably a V2 controller too. Plus they do have a 24 month warranty.

I did get the 3d Controller cheaper off ebay though, but the guarantee is worth having.

Well, it seems my luck is out at the moment, the Saturn has stopped reading disks, even originals...

It was working when I put it away recently...

Either the laser is going faulty, or I have reached some sort of critical mass, where everything new I repair, causes something else to fail!!

Time to have a look around the interwebs, since it is supposedly possible to adjust the laser intensity and also it can apparently be the tray height.

If not then I guess I need to look for a Fenrir.
