I don't think I did, need to go have a look what I've got, but as I said, I think they came pre-programmed for me as evidenced by the flag sticker on the CPLD, not something I'd do..exxos wrote: 26 Jan 2026 16:17 Problem is I don't know if the chips were protected or not.. Quite possibly they are protected... But I guess you could see if your programmer would even recognise the device..
Though at the time I was doing this stuff you had to had the official ATMEL programmer... Maybe things have changed now.. @agranlund @PhilC ?

Re: ST-IDE-ROM Dev Board v1 - BETA Testers
Had a route around and found the latest boards ! Question is, can I be really bothered to build one of these up
Looking at the schematic, I am already puzzled, because for some reason I removed the series resistor off the LED

ahhh
viewtopic.php?p=34718&hilit=led#p34718
I thought the only possible way will be either multiplexing or a fixed resistor built into the LED which I don't normally use..
So yay me for writing this stuff down somewhere! :D
Only possible problem is this likely assumes a CF card being standard in how it operates.. So I guess if the LED catches fire.. put a 1K in series with it..

@exxos there are other methods now to program them now, even copy atmel programmers apparently, I've got a proper one that I got through eBay..
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Sooooooo close... can't find anymore bits :(
It's also a reminder how completely annoying through-hole soldering is !
