Paralell port now tested and works fine. List in previous post updated.

I have replaced the WD1772, DMA and Yamaha chips but floppy still not working. Motor activates on drive but nothing after that.

Have you checked the 1772 clock to see if 8mhz is there?

Also your AB swap jumpers look wrong.

Okay, finally got back to this board. Wow... the H4F V7 board has the issue from the original release version. YM pin 21 to floppy pin 2/32 is well and truly grounded on the ACSI external connector! I remember this from the original H4 fixes.

I have filed down the hole to cut the internal track, added a bodge wire and the floppy disk is now working.

Should not have any faults after all the revisions. I don't remember what your referring to, can you give me more information and I'll check the files.

Oh I see the problem,

Version F

Version F1 - looks like I made the DB19 holes longer to fit various connectors and even though the track was moved, it still managed to short out  :cussing: :headbang:

There is a rev G as well, but that has a few DRC errors as looks like I started making pads on ICs the oval types. Though Eagle says the board and schematic not consistent, probably thought at that point "nope" and gave up. Claude worked it out in second, but don't have time to figure out what its on about right now..

Looks like a lot got re-routed, but now has SMT parts for resistors and caps, not sure why, the whole point of the H4 was to use though-hole parts  Possible it was heading towards the H5 at that point and got renamed after, so rev G would be a very early H5 build .
