So there is a fuse in the CDTV power supply which I appear to have killed
Symptoms are dead front panel and furiously spinning power supply fan.

Must have 12V then for the fan to be working ? assuming the fuse is ok in that case ?

Have you tried a new fuse then ? see if you get, I assume, 5V output ?

seems this fuse is for +5v rail only, 12v has its own. Almost all old fans are 12v..

Confirmed fan spins with fuse removed.
