Unfortunately I am not at home on weekends to keep a eye on it all.
So if we go down, I will not be able to fix it until Sunday night. Fingers crossed we stay up!

CDTV Power Supply

Post by terriblefire »

So there is a fuse in the CDTV power supply which I appear to have killed

Symptoms are dead front panel and furiously spinning power supply fan.

Must have 12V then for the fan to be working ? assuming the fuse is ok in that case ?

Have you tried a new fuse then ? see if you get, I assume, 5V output ?

seems this fuse is for +5v rail only, 12v has its own. Almost all old fans are 12v..
Any signs of life after swapping it out?

Confirmed fan spins with fuse removed.

Actually don’t have a replacement. I’ve ordered up a pack.
