Was the one you had just a little bit unreliable? Or this one just too good a deal to pass up?

Looking forward to seeing if you get it working and which one you keep.

So all stripped down and I was right about the heatsink for Nick, it was floating around...

It's a little dusty inside, though much better than my other one:

However overall it's in much better electronic condition than my other machine.

It boots:

So it'll be getting a ROM upgrade once I clean it up a little and re-fit the Nick heatsink. Hopefully the Z80 in this one won't be dead and hate ram expansions...

The only problem area is the case around the joystick, which is fine when assembled, but not when it isn't...

However I have no worries that I'll be able to get it up and running and have already got new keys in (Though they aren't quite the right ones they firt :) )

So looks like this is going to be more of a physical resto then electronic :)

Also, so far, TR2 hasn't blown up, which is a good sign.

Keyboard membrane seems OK, however I will reserve judgement until later.

Well it's working as you can see from my previous post, but needs some TLC on the case.

I'll likely be keeping both, it was a good price and I feel these machines need to be kept running for posterity :)

And in news that everyone expected, the keyboard membrane disintegrated like a pice of rice paper baked for an hour at 200C...

Another visit to SellMyRetro, though I could order one with my other parts for the SD card solution from the Enterprise forum...

@rubber_jonnie would you be able to order a second SD card solution and then send it me when it arrives? I'll PayPal you whatever you think is fair for it.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

@PhilC @alexh

In theory yes, prices are as follows:

The SD card reader is £72
The case is £22 - If you want one, I do.
The formatted SD card is £12 - If you want one, I don't.
The package with tracking number postage is £48 - Coming from Hungary but may be more for more items. I'd have to speak to the seller.

See here for details - Hungarian Enterprise stuff

Given the cost I would need the funds up front and I'll need to know if you want a case or SD card.

As for the shipping I won't know what that would be without confirmation of what you want so I can check with the seller. Happy to split shipping 3 ways and we can work out whats next when it arrives.

Hopefully that makes sense.
