Re: Should exxos design a new CT60 PSU?
My IDE adapters came from Amazon. At some point, as seems normal, and easily missed, my 2.5" search must have changed to 3.5", so they don't fit at all
Ordered some 2.5" now for the 3rd time ! Though I think they are going to be to tall overall with the CF card inserted into the adapter.
So the only place the adapter can go is under the PSU mounting frame. Which be annoying to print and most CF adapters don't have any proper mounting holes.. I'd have to design my own, which I don't want to do, its another project ontop of the all the ones needing my attention already.
This is the same problem with projects, 1 project quickly turns into 20 smaller more annoying ones and I didn't want to spent this much time on the thing overall. So the IDE mounting issues will likely just have to be figured out by the users as it's not something I want to screw around with for ages.
Was trying to find IDE to SD adapters, but the all mail pins which doesn't help either

I have a DOM fitted and it accommodates very well with the CT60 PSU, so why not with yours ?

I thought everyone hated DOM modules as they failed easily ?HigashiJun wrote: Sun Oct 18, 2026 10:41 pm I have a DOM fitted and it accommodates very well with the CT60 PSU, so why not with yours ?

Never had any issues with them so far...
Re: Should exxos design a new CT60 PSU?
I don't think its so much that they fail as in break but they (like all SSDs) can lose their contents if not powered for a long period. That time gets shorter depending on the Nand type (SLC longest, QLC shortest)

IIRC some types need periodic writes to preserve the contents (usually with wear levelling across the whole storage capacity) while others need periodic reads to keep the contents refreshed.
Getting the real data on data persistence with voltage/temperature etc. from some manufacturers can be difficult even for new devices but I've not seen that many DOMs around more recently.
So it's a bit of a minefield...

Re: Should exxos design a new CT60 PSU?
Can anyone tell me the dimensions of a DOM ? What I found online makes no sense. I looked on the internet and they stupid money to buy.

I would tend to agree with @mikro 's statement...
