ATW800/2 in a MonSTErbo powered STE
Re: ATW800/2 in a MonSTErbo powered STE
Looks really good @HigashiJun - I've only recently fitted a MonSTErbo to one of my STE's but haven't yet got anywhere beyond checking it actually powered up & booted.

And here is what made my afternoon busy today:
Just have to drill the holes for the mounting screws tomorrow and it should be OK.

Looking good. Isn't doing things to that multi-decades old Atari plastic
fun and exciting? (voice of experience here, after doing all the case
mods to my STacy).

Modding the plastics is only a last resort for me.
I try to preserve the original shape as much as I can, but yes, sometimes I do have to perform a case mod not to have a connector hanging out from my machine for example...
But I wouldn't do that to my Falcon for sure.

Sure, it's a cheap extension cable you can find on Amazon:JezC wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2026 9:11 am Can you tell us what are you using for the LAN port on this STE @HigashiJun please?

Oh, you meant the source...JezC wrote: Sat Aug 22, 2026 11:24 am Thanks...and what's at the other end inside the STE? I'm intrigued with what's providing the Ethernet functionality![]()
It's an ENC28J60 module connected to the MonSTErbo.
