Your investigations are appreciated :Dstephen_usher wrote: 06 Oct 2024 07:48 Thanks for that, I obviously misinterpreted what you said earlier in the week when you said that it didn’t use the full bus cycle as the emulator wasn’t running.
I’ll try the new firmware when I can. I’m unfortunately out all day today and so won’t be able to look at it.

Re: Another PiStorm Blog
Well, I've posted my results but as I mentioned, I think the MAX II chip is dying as it keeps forgetting its programming and each read/write to memory is different. I'll have to get another PiStorm before I can test further as I can't tell what's caused by the firmware and what's caused by the failing chip.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Re: Another PiStorm Blog
Just for fun I tested the memspeed function of ataritest.... Write: ~9MB/s, read: ~11MB/s to/from ST-RAM.. yeah, right. :-)
Just to get this I had to reflash the chip a couple of times.
