Congratulations. All that hard work was worth it. You need to get Archimedes Elite or Zarch running.

Some news of the project after a little break.

Just received 3 packs of PCBs from China:

Some parts should arrive tomorrow and I will be ready to make the famous Ultra VIDC.

The second gimmick in the list is the joystick adapter, but some parts are still missing.

The High Density Floppy Adapter was made today. I should be able to fit it soon.

My spare AJAX chip will be used for this upgrade.

And here is the last "present" of the day...

Hope the ZIDEFS IDE will be delivered soon.

Very nice @HigashiJun!

I've not been keeping up with this so it's lovely to see it looking so good after all those traces were mangled at the start.

My 3000 (much tattier!) has the ZIDEFS DOM, the memory upgrade, the serial board and a mouse port fitted to the rear, but I've not heard about the video upgrade or the crimp keyboard adapters.

What does the video upgrade offer and where did you get the keyboard connector crimps?

Cheers,

@Badwolf

Thank you !

I got the crimp connectors on Evil Bay from four-d-pi-shop, based in the UK:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/175001932055?h ... R4iixNLeYg

I saw them in another electronic parts supplier (Mouser ?), but they would cost me much more with shipping fees included.

The UltraVIDC is described on this website:

https://www.retro-kit.co.uk/Ultra-VIDC- ... html#A3000

A nice piece of hardware.

I would also recommend you to fit the HD Floppy mod in your Archie.
