So the VIC is back out on the bench:

But not because it's broken, but I'm expecting one of these today:

They are getting excellent reviews, so I thought it was time to give the VIC a bit more love :) You can get them here: PenUltimate+2

I'll post a review once I've received it and had a play.

I'm a sucker for an injection moulded case. I bought a DivMMC Future for my Spectrum from them - a quality product. I've always wondered where they get their cases made and how much they pay as I assumed they wouldn't be paying 10s of thousands up front so it must be reasonable iyswim. Then again, perhaps they sell so well that they can make that up front investment.

..and a slip case too. That's really nice

Yeah, they do make some very nice products for sure. It should be here in the next couple of hours, so I'll get some pics posted as soon as I can.

I watched a few reviews on YouTube, and it looks beautifully made. I think these days with the tendency for everything to be 3D printed, it really puts anything that is injection moulded a cut above.

Navigation is using a joystick, cursor keys, or function keys for pre set options such as RAM selection , and I have to say the quantity of stuff is mind boggling, from Utilities and games, to every RAM option you could possibly expect, so far from what I've seen it is what every VIC 20 owner needs to get the most out of their machines. It's surprisingly inexpensive too, and for what you get it seems to be amazing value for money.
