We have never been in the eurozone... People still use euro for payments just like USD.. but GBP is the only currency for UK... Anything else is subject to exchange rates.PaulJ wrote: Fri Oct 19, 2018 4:00 pm So my question is GB was using Euro's right? Your not complety out of European Union yet.. right And if so when did you switch back to pounds. Guess I'm wandering around in the fog.![]()

Brexit: All you need to know about the UK leaving the EU?
The UK – a sovereign state that includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Great Britain – an island situated off the north west coast of Europe.
Which town are you in, it looks like everything was in the EU. So which part of the British Isles were not in the EU?
Never mind.. it just hurts my head trying to wrap my mind around it.

Its a mess, best just not go there
Don't get me started on it all, just so much BS floating around its unreal. Probably best keeping politics off the forum anyway
I am in the main UK (mainland) Scotland and wales are also part of the mainland. There are other bits like half of Ireland which are classed as part of the UK, but not physically connected to the mainland. Then all the "UK" empire is part of the EU , like germany france etc etc... people in EU get tax free important and exports over rest of the world.. oddly we pay a huge membership fee for that to be allowed, go figure

From now on I'll have to pay attention to that little symbol in front of the amount and not try an figure out how things are organized. Like I said it all started this month with the assumption the OPTO was the same.. went down hill from there..

The Isle of Man isn't in the EU technically as it's a Crown Dependency, similar to the Falkland Islands. I'm not sure about the Channel Isles. I don't think that they are, which is why they have special tax status.PaulJ wrote: Fri Oct 19, 2018 5:02 pm Which town are you in, it looks like everything was in the EU. However, Gibraltar is in the EU but not the UK. It's just weird, historical and hysterical.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Guys, what are you on about. The UK is in the EU, at least until brexit. However, they're not part of the single currency euro zone - just like Sweden, Denmark, Poland etc.
Two separate things.
Two separate things.
Re: PaulJ Progress
As Troed said, EU and euro zone are 2 different things.
One is a "political" construct, the other one is a monetary one.
