Yes.

I've not tested emutos 1.4 yet. I just included it as I was doing a new dual ROM image anyway.

Currently there are no know issues anywhere :hide: @Badwolf needs to test the new stuff as well when he gets his rear end off the beech or whatever he's doing currently

I'll try and build up 3 or 4 more soon. Then others can get early access and become a tester as well.

I need to buy and test some more CPUs next.. But funds are limited currently so might not be able. To buy them for a month or 2 yet :(

It's a fair criticism.

Right. I'm back and I have my best firmware-flashing trousers on.

What's needed to be tested by me before we start flinging cards at each other?

You need the latest ROM and firmware from the STE536 page..

Bassically test everything you broke before :P

TOS206 rebuild should fix DOTT not running, and hopefully solve you mono problem thing as well.
Firmware fixes various issues, like IDE INT glitches.

Theres loads of other fixes.. hopefully the problems you was seeing will be a lot less now... :hide:

OK, I flashed the current18.jed and it booted into EmuTOS fine, but since my IDE partitioning choices don't work with HDDriver I've taken out the card to re-engineer it.

I couldn't get any joy with my ACSI drive, but that could be unrelated. I'd need to swap out the STE536 to make sure it's not simply a new problem with that.

So I was restricted to soak testing the memory with YAARTTT last night but please to report: no problems so far.

I also need to find (or erase) a ROM chip and flash the new one.

Updated mine today with current18 as well. I haven't tried the new ROM version...I have an eprom coming and hopefully I'll have more luck with it!

So far with the old version of TOS 2.06 and EmuTOS no real change in behavior. Most software works (STDoom ran similarly to the prior firmware version...which is to say slower than the ST536), STDOTT still has the reboot issue when trying to run.

weird, the STE536 should run faster if anything as the original code had a bug in STram access slowing it down. It is possible TTram maybe slower on the STE536 but thats unavoidable.

Maybe you can run GB6 on both and see if any difference ? A example is here viewtopic.php?p=129068&hilit=bltfix#p129068 but i dont know if that reflects the current speeds or not. Beyond that, might just be something on the STE causing the slowdown over the STFM

Might also be worth running frontbench on both to see if that shows similar results.

Also I assume your using MAPROM with the ST536 ? The STE536 with the new TOS206 ROM won't need MAPROM.

Also make sure you have the cache turned on in the desktop menu.

Also make sure you have blitter disabled as BLTFIX takes a hit on TTram speed otherwise.

That was a issue in TOS206 which is fixed in the new ROM.
